Betty "BJ" Tyndall

Betty "BJ" Tyndall, 82,  was born on June 12, 1944, in Springfield to Earl and Olive (Garoutte) Jackson, and she passed away on Oct. 26, 2026. 
She graduated from Republic High School, went on to attend St. Luke's School of Nursing in Kansas City and then Drury University receiving her Bachelor of Science in nursing. She was employed as a Registered Nurse for over 25 years at the Federal Medical Prison in Springfield. 
 
 
She is preceded in death by her parents and her brother Bill Jackson.
She is survived by her daughter Jennifer Sowards and her husband Steve, several grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Her family has entrusted her final care to Meadors Funeral Home.
