Becky Letterman, 62, of Walnut Grove, passed away on Tuesday, April 27, 2021.
She was born May 18, 1958 to Merlin “Dutch” and Annie (Crigger) Applegate in Springfield.
Letterman enjoyed sewing, knitting, cooking, and playing games on her phone.

Joe Frank Leith, 92, of Eudora, passed away on Sunday, April 25, 2021. He was born Oct. 4, 1928 to Joseph F. and Nellie (Austin) Leith in Bolivar. On Oct. 19, 1948 Joe Frank and Carrye Ann Price were united in marriage and shared over 59 years together before her passing in 2008.

Jason A. Hawkins, 38, of Republic, passed away at his mother’s home on April 17, 2021. He was born Nov. 8, 1982 in Paris, Ill. to Steve and Elaine (Mathews) Hawkins, the third of four children. Hawkins graduated from Republic High School in 2003.

Officer Steven “Andy” Hammer passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, April 3, 2021 at the age of 43 in Republic. He was born on March 15, 1978 in Pittsburg, Kan. to Becky Meyerpeter and Steven Hammer. He spent most of his childhood in Virginia Beach, Va. and Springfield.

Phillis A. Gold of Republic, formerly of Marionville, passed away Thursday, April 22, 2021, surrounded by her loving family, at the age of 88. She was born Nov. 19, 1932 in Marionville, to Raymond and Millie (Metcalf) Morris. She was the eldest of three children.
